Purbeck Shooting School
Purbeck Shooting School has been in operation for over 10 years and occupies one of the best sites in the UK and has been voted as the Best Shooting Ground in the UK .  The site occupies some 50 acres of mixed heathland and conifer plantation.  The unique contours of the site enable us to set naturalistic sporting targets in a variety of scenarios.  We are also able to offer Compact Sporting, F.I.T.A.S.C. SKEET and DTL areas.  We also have a high tower set in our woodlands ideal for driven practice or tuition.  We normally have a 100 bird sporting course in operation as well as other activities in operation.  We have a number of covered stands and about 50%of the site is accessible by wheelchair.

Our Club House has a comfortable seating area and a kitchen which allows us to serve everything from teas and coffees to bacon and egg triple deckers and barbecue lunches. 

If you are considering taking up shooting the following points may help you.

1. You don't require a licence to shoot here but you do require supervision.

2. A lesson is probably the best investment you can make when starting.

3.  Try out several different guns.  This will help you make an educated purchase.

4.  Eye Dominance is critical and should be checked before you purchase.

5.  If you want to shoot well then the gun fit is more important than how it looks.

6. We would be happy to help and advise with any of the above or any other queries you may have.

Purbeck Shooting School is open five days a week (FIXTURES).

Our friendly club is renown for its warm and friendly welcome and its relaxed atmosphere.  Purbeck Shooting School is also able to offer Corporate Entertainment, Private Parties, Tuition, Simulated Game days, Practice and Competitions.  The School regularly receives visitors from across the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA.  

Purbeck Shooting School is involved in all aspects of shooting from clays targets to running and advising game shoots.  If you want advice on anything regarding any aspects of shooting including gun selection then talk to us, we can probably help.
